The Story Behind the Painting
This painting was born from a moment when I felt everything around me was moving too fast, that the world was demanding more, and that I was forgetting myself for a moment.
And out of all this, one clear need arose, to stop and take a deep breath. Not to get things done, but just to be. That breath was not just physical, it was a movement inward. I felt how the quiet did not come from the outside, but from a small space that opened up within me, right behind all the noises. A space that said here it is okay to rest and here it is okay to let go.
When I sat in front of the canvas I tried to transfer this feeling into color and shape. The choice of soft shades of blue, white, and delicate green was not purely aesthetic. They carried with them the softness, the purity, and the feeling of fresh air coming in and cleansing.
The brushstrokes were slow, circular, and almost meditative. Every layer was like an exhale, a release of another thought, another tension, and another thing that does not need to be held onto.
"Breath" is not just a painting, it is a reminder. A reminder to ourselves amidst all the overwhelm that there are small moments that can bring us back home, moments that heal. And it all starts with one breath.
