“Essence”

This painting was born from a period in my life when I began to distinguish between what is loud and what is truly essential. Slowly, I realized how much of my energy was being spent on things that did not really touch the core. Other people’s opinions, expectations, the desire to be understood, the desire to succeed, the desire not to make mistakes. So much external movement, and very little inner grounding.

At some point, something in me grew tired of the chase. Tired of getting excited about what doesn’t truly last. Tired of choosing from fear or from the need to prove myself. And then I began asking myself one simple but sharp question, what is truly essential here? What remains if I remove the drama? What remains if I stop trying to impress? What remains if I let go of the stories I cling to?

At first, it wasn’t glamorous. Essence is quiet. It doesn’t erupt, it doesn’t promise grand things. It is simply steady. Clean. Precise. As I moved closer to it, I felt my field begin to open. Something inside me started to expand.

My choices began to come from a deeper place. Less reactive, more attentive. Less struggle, more clarity. Suddenly, not everything required my response. Not every criticism shook me.

I began choosing from inner stillness, from a place that no longer needed to prove itself, from a connection to my roots.

This painting holds that moment. The moment I stop entangling myself with what isn’t mine and agree to stand within what is. It has layers, but they do not confuse, they reveal. It carries depth that does not seek attention, but invites presence.

This painting is an invitation to pause and ask yourself what is truly essential right now, what matters, and what can be released.
