The Story Behind the Painting
This pair of artworks was born out of an inner exploration of duality and wholeness in our lives. We often experience the world through separation, between matter and spirit, between above and below, or between two different parts within us that seem set apart from one another.
I chose to create this piece across two separate canvases that join together into a single, unified dialogue. The vast expanse of white, cream, and rough textures represents the quiet space, the stillness, and the places within us that long for clarity and compassion.
Passing through the center of the artwork is a rich golden streak, an inner horizon that connects all the parts. This gold is not merely a visual element, it represents the line of light that always resides within us. It is a reminder that even when there is separation or distance between different parts of our lives, there is always one precise point of balance that brings everything back into harmony.
While working on the layers and textures, my movement on the canvas required gentle listening and full inner alignment. The process with the plaster and paint was not intended to cover, but to create a depth through which the light in the center receives its full presence and power.
This artwork invites you to pause, find your inner point of balance, and understand that every part of you belongs. It reminds you that beneath all the noise and thoughts, there is always a line of light within you, guiding you home to your quiet and inner truth♡
