The Story Behind the Painting
"Layers of Consciousness" was born from a personal journey in which I chose to create space within myself. For years, my mind carried weights that did not belong to it, old thoughts, limiting beliefs, outside voices that had settled too deeply inside. They were like fine layers of dust, accumulating slowly until I almost forgot what lay beneath.
The process of creating this painting became an act of cleansing. With every brushstroke, every smear, every texture that emerged, another layer peeled away. I released noise, softened towards myself, and kept only what was truly mine. What was stuck melted away, and what was misaligned made room for truth.
The layers in this painting are not only visible, they are tangible. The deep textures hold the memory of what once was, bearing witness to the layers that were removed and to the new ones built in their place. The bold red beats like a truth unapologetic in its existence, the blue breathes quiet and openness, while the earthy grays and browns anchor everything in the solid ground of my authenticity.
"Layers of Consciousness" is not just a painting, it is an inner map. A reminder that a clear, honest, and authentic mind is not formed overnight, but through the courage to strip away what does not belong, and the willingness to meet yourself with no filters. It is a constant reminder that beneath everything that seems fixed, there is always another layer of truth waiting to be revealed.
