"A remnant of a dream"

"A remnant of a dream"- Original painting by Shirly Maimon

The Story Behind the Painting

This painting was born from a moment between sleep and wakefulness.
It’s not about a clear dream — but the feeling that lingers after.
When everything has faded, but something inside still holds on —
an emotion, an image, a shadow of meaning.

So often in life, we feel exactly that —
something flickers within us. It draws us in, stirs curiosity, yet remains undefined.
It might be an old desire, an unspoken memory, or a new direction without a name.

This painting speaks to the moment we choose not to give up.
Not to rush for clarity — but to allow ourselves to feel.
To lean into what’s asking for our attention —
even if it’s blurry, even if it’s not yet clear.

Because sometimes, it’s through the fog that clarity is born.
When we don’t have the answers, there’s finally room for questions.
And when we allow ourselves to be in that space —
with the sensations, the unknown — something deep within us begins to open.

“A Trace of a Dream” is an invitation to pause,
to listen to what’s trying to rise from beneath the surface,
and to remember that what we feel — even if it’s unclear — is real.
And it’s part of the way we find ourselves again.
