The Story Behind the Painting🖌️
This painting was born from my own process, a journey of years in which I learned to peel back layers, to listen inward, and to meet myself without the protections that had surrounded me for so long. Each layer I released revealed a different truth, a new light, a deeper sense of freedom. Sometimes it happened gently, and sometimes through pain, but with every layer that fell away, I became a little more whole.
I discovered how easily we hide behind patterns, roles, and defenses. We believe they keep us safe, yet they slowly distance us from our essence. There comes a moment when the soul can no longer stay silent, when it longs to return home, to the quiet within, to the place where it can breathe freely again.
In this painting, there is a visible movement between concealment and revelation, between shadow and light. The colors blend into one another like layers of memories, emotions, entire lifetimes peeling away one after another. And through it all, there is one steady light that remains, a light that never fades even when everything else changes.
As I painted, I felt I was not creating an image, but uncovering something alive. The light did not come from outside, it came from within. It had always been there, simply waiting for me to stop hiding it.
Layers of Light is not just a painting, it is a reminder of the journey back to myself, the willingness to be vulnerable, the courage to be real. It is an ongoing process, softening and clarifying with time, like light that continues to seep in until everything that is not truly me dissolves, and only I remain, exactly as I am.
