This painting was born from the understanding that beauty exists exactly where things do not fall into place. Not in the polished space, not in the straight line, but דווקא in that moment when something shifts, blends, and refuses to meet expectation.
I wanted to capture the moment when we stop fighting to be precise. The moment when the hand no longer tries to control every movement, when I stop asking whether it is right or beautiful enough, and simply allow what wants to emerge to emerge. There is freedom in that, but there is also vulnerability. Because when I do not correct, do not hide, do not smooth things over, I remain with the truth as it is.
The layers here are not trying to impress. They did not come to prove anything. They simply speak to one another without a clear frame, without hierarchy. One color moves into another, sometimes gently, sometimes in collision. There are moments of confusion, density, and lack of order. Just like in life, when several emotions exist at the same time, when there is no single right answer, when we are strong and tired, confident and confused.
And within all of this there is truth. A quiet truth that does not need explanation. A truth that exists precisely because I did not try to organize it. There is something deeply liberating about accepting the asymmetry, the unplanned stain, the line that slipped away. Suddenly I understand that it is not a mistake. It is part of the language.
This painting reminds us that we do not need to fix every line. We do not need to straighten every corner. We are not perfect, and that is not something that needs correction. It is something we can embrace. Because exactly there, in the unfinished, the unpolished, the uncorrected space, we are most real.
It invites you to set judgment aside for a moment. To soften the voice that tells you how things are supposed to look. To simply be with what is. With your layers, your contradictions, and the parts that do not always blend smoothly.
Because not perfect is the most authentic thing there is. And not perfect is also what we are.
