The Story Behind the Painting
"Waves of Emotion" was born from an intense period of inner reflection.
I found myself in a space where emotions weren’t simple or clear
they arrived in waves, unexpectedly, sometimes crashing, sometimes soft and still.
Like the sea, I felt stormy at times and peaceful at others.
There were moments when everything felt on the verge of overflow,
and others that brought a deep, almost meditative calm, the kind that follows a storm.
When I sat in front of the canvas, I didn’t try to control the painting.
I let the brush lead me, just as my emotions had been leading me through life in those days.
The colors flowed almost on their own, bold blues, turquoise, mustard, and white
woven into a constant movement, dynamic and sometimes wild, yet undeniably precise.
The deeper layers, with dark blue, gray, even touches of black
represent those times when emotion turns inward.
They speak to the depth of feelings we don’t always understand,
but that undeniably live within us.
"Waves of Emotion" is an honest reflection of what happens when we stop trying to balance everything —
and start allowing ourselves to simply feel.
It speaks to the fear of losing control, and the freedom that exists within it.
It reminds us that emotions, like waves, aren’t meant to stay forever —
they come to stir, to soften, to cleanse.
For me, this painting is both release and strength.
It’s movement, breath, a space where one can simply be — without fixing or explaining.
It invites us not to fear the depth, the storm, or the stillness that follows.
Because within every wave, there’s an invitation to come closer to who we truly are.
