“Presence”

This painting was born from the moment I stopped trying to arrive somewhere else and agreed to be exactly where I am, מתוך the understanding that presence is not an achievement but a return, a return to this moment, every time I notice that I have drifted into the past or rushed toward the future.

There were years when I lived in constant movement, in planning, in reacting, in thinking about what should happen next, what is missing, what needs to change, and slowly I began to see how rare it was for me to truly be here, how often my body was present but my awareness had wandered elsewhere, and how exhausting it is to live half a step ahead or behind all the time.

Presence, for me, became the courage to stay, to feel what exists now without rushing to fix it, soften it, explain it, or escape it, to agree to sit inside a moment as it is, even if it is uncomfortable, even if it is imperfect, even if it does not match the picture I had imagined.

There is a fullness in this painting that does not seek attention, layers that rest within one another without fighting for space, a quiet that is not emptiness but solid ground, like standing still and realizing that nothing is missing, that this breath is enough, that this moment is complete as it is.

There is no striving here to become more or different, no destination to reach, only a deep agreement to be, to let the colors exist without managing them, to let the movement settle into itself, to allow life to unfold without pushing it forward.

This painting is an invitation to pause and truly step into your own life, to soften the urgency, to release the need to control the next step, and to discover that presence is not passivity but quiet power, the place from which clarity rises and real choice becomes possible.
