"The Middle"

This painting was created מתוך a quiet exploration of the space between extremes, not up and not down, not too strong and not too soft, not a sharp decision and not surrender, but a balanced point that can hold both sides at once. It is a place that is not always given room, because it is not dramatic and not clear cut, yet it is exactly where a lot of truth exists.

Throughout the process a line kept appearing, not as a line of separation but as a line of balance. Around it layers were built, gentle movement, soft tension, while the line itself remained steady, like an anchor that allows everything around it to exist without falling apart. I felt that I did not need to decide or choose a side, only to agree to stay within this space where things can be both at the same time.

The painting speaks about the ability to pause in the middle of the path, without rushing upward and without falling downward, to agree to be in the gray area, in a place where there is no single clear answer but there is breath. It is a space that allows listening, not only to what is happening outside but also to what is moving inside, without judgment and without pressure to force change.

There is movement in this work, but it is not stormy, it unfolds slowly, gradually, like an inner shift that ripens in its own time. This painting was created מתוך a choice not to pull strongly in any direction, but to let things hold themselves, to feel the stability that is born דווקא from balance.
