"In the fields"

I traveled to the northern Golan Heights, to a place where the earth opens to the sky without boundaries. I stood at the edge of a cliff, the air crisp and sharp, peeling away layers of thought. Below me stretched quiet fields in soft greens and greys, and above them flickered a deep blue—patches of sky breaking through the clouds like an ancient memory of freedom. I felt how that color, a blue with no beginning or end, seeped inward and reminded me that the true expanse isn’t outside at all, but inside our own consciousness.

And then a childhood memory surfaced: a trip with my father, when he took us to see wide-open landscapes like these. A small moment, yet filled with presence. I felt again that simple connection to life, the truth that lives in experiences we never forget—those that stay rooted deep in the heart.

Back in the studio, I wasn’t trying to paint a landscape but a state of mind. I laid down layers of soft white and gentle grey, traces of cool earth, and then opened the canvas with sweeping strokes of blue—sky-blue that spreads and breaks through every crack, lighting everything around it. Every brushstroke was a breath; every mark of color, a thought unfolding.

“Fields” is more than a memory of a place; it’s a reminder of the meaningful moments that shape us, a call to keep creating new experiences—because those are the true essence of life. The painting invites you to pause, to look within, and to feel that the endless fields and open skies are always inside us, waiting to be seen and to remind us to truly live.
