The story behind the artwork

This piece began with a simple evening bike ride through Tel Aviv. I had no clear destination—just a need to move, to breathe, to feel. The sun was already low, the streets were glowing with soft streetlight, and the air was filled with that quiet hum that only a city like Tel Aviv can offer—distant music, couples talking on corners, kids heading home, and a small piece of graffiti that caught my eye.

It was one of those moments where something opens up inside without warning. There was love in it—not romantic love, but a deep affection for the moment, for movement, for the contrast and chaos that live side by side in this city. Tel Aviv has always been a source of inspiration for me, but this time something felt different, more personal—like everything aligned for just a brief, powerful second.

When I got back to the studio, I didn’t plan to paint. But the feeling stayed with me, almost burning. I began laying down colors without thinking, without a plan. Turquoise like the city sky, bold pink like the rush in my chest, touches of yellow and orange, and free, dripping strokes like the streets themselves. Then, almost instinctively, the word ART appeared—black, bold, unapologetic. And right beside it, a heart. Not a soft, perfect heart—but one born of passion, of mess, of truth.

This artwork is a love letter. Not just to the city, but to those unpredictable moments that move something in us. It’s a reflection of the space between feeling and creating, between inspiration and expression, between love and chaos—and the beauty that happens when we stop trying to control it.

This piece invites the viewer to remember the simple, unplanned moments that sparked something real—and to let love for what feels alive lead the way. 🖤
