This painting was born from a deep understanding —
that true freedom doesn't come when fear disappears,
but when we choose to move even while fear is still present.
When I approached the canvas,
I knew I wasn’t seeking to organize or plan anything.
I wanted to let movement flow,
to allow my hands to speak a language free of judgment or expectation,
to open a space for whatever my heart longed to express.
With every brushstroke,
I felt another layer of fear begin to loosen.
My body softened, my breath deepened, and the colors began to dance together —
within a space that kept expanding,
within a place where there was no need to be perfect or precise —
only to stay in motion.
The birds that emerged across the canvas weren’t planned —
they simply appeared, like a memory of the freedom that lives within each of us.
Each movement, each line, each touch —
carried a small moment of release,
a moment where fear dissolved and the soul expanded.
"Free Movement" is a painting that reminds me — and anyone who meets it —
that as long as we keep moving —
even slowly, even hesitantly —
we are free.
And sometimes, it is from the places where we once tightened the most,
that the truest, most vibrant, most liberated movement is born.
