The Story Behind the Painting
This painting was born from a moment of deep inner reflection, where I felt the tension between silence and noise, between order and chaos. It expresses the ongoing journey we go through—moving between clarity and uncertainty, between the places where we feel lost and the ones where we discover the guiding light within us.
During the creation process, I experienced a powerful sense of contrast—like a delicate dance between light and shadow. With every layer of paint I added, my inner sensation intensified. The black in the painting symbolizes the places where we confront our fears and pain, the thoughts buried deep within our consciousness. The lighter areas, on the other hand, are not just beams of light; they are breathing spaces, windows that let fresh air in, bringing with them a sense of calm.
One significant moment during the process was when a layer of color unexpectedly merged into another. That was when I realized the opposites weren’t fighting each other—they were creating a new kind of balance. What initially seemed like conflict turned into harmony.
In the end, “Between Shadows and Light” is not just a reflection of my personal journey. It’s also a quiet invitation to anyone who views it—to dare to look within, to find beauty in the pain, and to trust that light is always present, even when it's hard to see.
