The Story Behind the Painting
Sometimes life brings us to places we never thought we would know, and we have no idea what is waiting around the corner. Those moments when we step out of the familiar and safe track are exactly what open the mind to new things. This painting talks about exactly that, about a different ground, about the unfamiliar and the unknown that lead us to the most interesting and intriguing places there are.
The layers of beige and urban gray in the background provide a quiet foundation, and from within them peek out the spots and lines of mustard and black. These colors are placed there precisely to tell about the moment when we dare to let go of control, look at things differently, and discover that suddenly completely new paths open up in front of us that we did not know existed.
This calls to us when we are ready to stop fearing the unknown and open our minds to what really comes to us. Because sometimes, precisely when stepping off the usual paths, we discover whole worlds we did not know before.
