The Story Behind the Painting
There’s a big difference between losing control and letting go.
Between being overwhelmed — and consciously choosing not to block what wants to flow.
This painting didn’t begin with an idea, but with a feeling — sharp, raw, impossible to ignore.
Instead of pushing it away, I listened.
Instead of resisting, I gave it color.
Instead of trying to “hold myself together,” I let it be.
Hot pink, piercing yellow, deep turquoise — these aren’t just colors.
They’re emotional states.
Feelings that demanded space.
Not because they’re comfortable or easy, but because they’re real. Because they showed up.
And if they showed up — they belong.
Every feeling that arises carries an inner logic.
It may not always pass through the mind, but it speaks the language of the soul.
It arrives to move something within.
This painting is an act of permission.
To feel — without fixing, softening, or censoring.
To let the emotion exist, simply because it came.
And if it came — it’s valid.
This piece is a reminder:
Don’t fear what comes.
Not everything that shakes you is a threat.
Sometimes, when you stop trying to manage or understand — something deep begins to heal on its own.
